Vibration Tuning Fork Liquid Level Switch Applied in Alkali Absorption Tower

Alkali absorption tower is an important equipment specially used for industrial waste gas treatment, which is mainly composed of exhaust pipe, high-pressure blower, packed tower, corrosion-resistant circulating pump, alkali circulating pool and etc. The process is to suck the waste gas from the reactor to the bottom of the tower by the negative pressure suction pipe and high-pressure blower, and the alkali liquor is lifted to the upper tower through circulating pump, so as to realize the gas-liquid countercurrent contact, acid-base neutralization and achieve the purpose of waste-gas treatment. The alkali liquor pumped into the circulating tower should reach a specified position, so the actual liquid level monitor is crucial to avoid overflow accidents.


It is usually required to match two types of liquid level sensors, continuous sensors to monitor the changing level in real time, and point level switch sensors for high alarm control.

  

Local level indication is an important measurement for many process control applications. It provides a reliable way to confirm the level height. Compared with radar level meter, ultrasonic level transmitter, RF Admittance level meter, differential pressure transmitter, magnetic level indicators (MLI) has four key advantages — enhanced safety, maintenance, increased visibility and simplified installation — in which an MLI will actually reduce overall cost over time and improve functionality.


Tuning fork liquid level switch vibrates at a specific frequency. When material touches the tines the vibration is attenuated. The unit detects this attenuation and outputs detection signals. Different from capacitive switch and RF admittance level switch, tuning fork liquid level switch can detect even if physical property is changed, no need for initial adjustment and maintenance. Compared with float level switch, tuning fork liquid level switch is also not affected by liquid splashing.


Ring-11 Liquid Level Switch is a highly reliable instrument for liquid level detection and control. The fork length is only 40mm which makes Ring-11 applicable not only for vessels, process tanks and storage tanks, but also particularly for pipelines or other applications with constricted space. The fork’s harmonic resonant frequency has been precisely pre-adjusted to achieve high sensitivity so the lowest measurable density can be as low as 0.5g/cm³. Jiwei Ring-11 liquid level switch is excellent in level measurement for acids like HCL, H₂SO₄, H₂SO₃, and alkali liquids, syrup, medical liquids, industrial wastewater, etc. And particularly, it is suitable for pressured liquefied gas (such as LNG) and applications under complicated working conditions where measured liquid is easy to foaming, bubbling or with high viscosity and under vibration disturbance environment etc.


Ring-11 Liquid Level Switch has four optional outputs: relay output, two-wire system, NAMUR and transistor. It has also Passed SIL2 / SIL3 Functional Safety Assessment, as well as certified for both Intrinsic Safety and Flameproof Enclosure explosion protection.
