Jiwei —— The Winning Bidder of High-Risk Liquid Chlorine Project

Under the fierce competition among peers, Jiwei magnetic level indicator successfully wins the bid of China National Chemical Corporation (CHEMCHINA) on a liquid chlorine measuring project. Because the outstanding quality of Jiwei lined type magnetic level indicator grasps the demand of users, so, as expected, Flap-11P becomes the designated magnetic level indicator in this project.


Liquid chlorine is a greenish-yellow liquid. It is toxic, its boiling point is -34.6℃ and melting point is -103℃, also, it can be vaporized into gas at normal pressure. Liquid chlorine is highly reactive, so it can cause serious poisoning when inhaled into human body. As shown above, the characteristics of liquid chlorine create strict requirements for magnetic level indicator —— stainless steel magnetic level indicator has weak corrosion resistant ability, and plastic magnetic level indicator can hardly bear high pressure. Therefore, the measurement of liquid chlorine usually adopts lined type magnetic level indicator.


However, the through-hole of its process connection of traditional lining magnetic level indicator can be easily blocked by impurities due to unreasonable structural design, resulting in improper working of the instrument, which brings unnecessary trouble to production. The traditional structure of the process connection is that when the first lining presses on the second lining can cause a acting force to inner side along the connecting tube, the acting force then makes the second lining deform towards the radial direction, so that the middle part through-hole of the second lining becomes smaller, resulting in sediment and blockage of impurities. According to the above phenomenon, the inherent defect of traditional lining magnetic level indicator is unqualified to apply in high-risk area of liquid chlorine.


In view of the above shortcomings of traditional line type magnetic level indicator, Jiwei engineers innovatively improve the lining process connection structure as the following aspects(patent licensing No. ZL201621028672.4):


Firstly, 2 sealing parts are formed.

 

The first lining part stretches from connecting tube of the buoy pipe and forms a first cylindrical sealing part. The second lining includes the inner lining of connecting tube, and the second sealing part, which is connected with inner liner and is basically cylindrical.

Secondly, the extending connecting tube supports on second sealing part.


The second sealing part stretches from one end of connecting tube, and extends to an opposite direction to create a gap with the lining part. Then the inner wall of first sealing part is attached to outer wall of the second sealing part to make inseparable junction. One end of the connecting tube has a cylindrical extending supporting part, as supporting part inserts into the gap, formed a radial support for the second sealing part (as following figure), makes the second sealing part and the second lining are unaffected by the press of the first sealing part anymore, which effectively solves the impurities blockage problem caused by deformation.
