  • Rada-31 is a 24GHz frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar level meter. It is designed with four-wire output and 100m measuring range. It is particularly suitable for applications that are under high level of dust and require large measuring range. The measurable medium includes cement, coal powder, fly ash, plastic powder, alumina powder, etc. Furthermore, Rada-31 has very high signal-to-noise ratio which provides an ideal solution for applications under extreme dusty environment. 


  • Rada-31 FMCW Radar Level Meter is designed based on a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO). A signal with 24GHz base frequency 1GHz width ramping up linearly is generated by the internal electronic circuit. The radar wave is transmitted from the end of the antenna and complete one linear scan. When the transmitted wave hits the surface of the measured medium, it is partially reflected back and received by the same antenna. After Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), the signal carrying different frequencies in the time domain is converted into a frequency spectrum in the frequency domain. We know that the difference between the transmitting frequency and the frequency of the returned signal is proportional to the distance to the target. By identifying the difference between the transmitting frequency and the frequency of the returned signal, we can find out the distance between the antenna and the surface of the measured medium.
